What do you do in Southampton?

• Besides my volunteer work at Southampton Arts and Prance, Dennis and I enjoy our hikes along the trails with our dogs, as well as biking, and strolling on our beautiful beaches. We also enjoy camping and fishing.

What is your knowledge of Town government?

• I’ve been attending Council meetings as an observer to stay fully informed, and also going to local events such as the Blue Water Lands Neighbourhood Park  Open House, the Neoen Battery Storage Open House, the Environmental Assessment Study for Storm System Outlets and the Community Planning Permit System meeting. I’m very aware of the Cottage Streets Policy through my work as a director with our condominium. 

What is your style of leadership?

• Throughout my 33 years as an educator and administrator and a director, I’ve always found that I need to gather all the information I can to make an informed decision. One of the first questions I ask is, “Who benefits from this action or change?” I aim to support policies that are good for the community as a whole.
